Exciting news: Tairseach is starting a café! The first Tuesday of the month on alternate months. And it will initially be open to Tairseach members, the first one being on Tuesday 2 February 2021 at 19:00 (Irish time) on Zoom.
We asked Bríd Keenan (Tairseach-EASE Liaison Officer) to tell you something about it.
"What is the Tairseach or SE café?
Well, it came as an idea from my having been involved in café Palestine which is a self organizing group of people who come together to learn about Palestine and to talk about the work that's happening in Palestine.
As many of us SE people are now working away in different places, one benefit of Covid is that we can meet online and be in connection in relation to our practice and practice interests.
So I wondered if perhaps from time to time, people might like to meet in this self-organising informal way to discuss our practice or get advice about work with clients, or talk about things that we've read or courses that we've attended that we find useful - or not talk at all Maybe someone would want to practice a particular skill with someone and use other people as their consultants. That might also be possible.
There are so many things that we could do that would help us to group in our ability and skill and out connection as a group of SEPs. Any Tairseach member interested in getting together, we are planning a beginning meeting Tues 2 February 2021, at 7pm (Irish time), on Zoom."
