On 7 November 2020, our members and SEP colleagues assembled online to discuss Tairseach business, meet colleagues and experience two workshops on breath, movement and voice.
The business of the Association was addressed at the hour long Annual General Meeting (AGM) part of the day. Tairseach's Committee was endorsed for another year.
The rest of the day was spent in two exciting experiential workshops.
The first was led by yoga teacher, SEP and Gestalt practitioner Mairéad Flynn, who got all participants to experience themselves in their skin, through tapping and focused attention to the body.
The second was led by drama, SE and NARM therapist Bernardine McManus, who started the workshop by outlining the connection between movement, listening, sound, voice, and early development. She then invited participants to experiment with their own sound making, finishing with some collective singing - no mean feat on Zoom!
By all accounts participants were delighted with both experiences, which left them energised, interested and hungry for more.
The day ended with an exciting sharing of ideas for the way forward, a sign of a vibrant and growing body of professionals!
